LAKE ONTARIO, CANADA is similar to Lake Erie in length and breadth (193 miles by 53 miles) but holds almost four times the volume and has a retention time of about 6 years. Major urban industrial centers, such as Hamilton and Toronto, are located on its shore — [source, great-lakes.net]. This painting is referenced from a photo my friend took while sailing near Toronto, Canada. I was attracted to the spiritual feel of the original photo. This sunset painting of Lake Ontario was painted on a 16in x 20in stretched canvas using quality professional GRUMBACHER oils. Looks great in a frame!
