Using the same steps used to
paint the evergreen tree, paint
in a few reflections directly
above (underneath) your trees
with the filbert brush. Don't
be too concerned with details.

When finished, turn your
canvas right-side up.

Paint them a little farther back
and a little smaller or shorter.
This will help to create depth
in the painting.

Now, let add a few
reflections:

Turn your canvas upside
down again.

Use the 1" brush held flat vertically to gently pull the reflections straight down then. Fig. 54. Then hold the brush
horizontally and gently whisper the bristles horizontally across the reflection. This will create a gloss or shimmer
on the water.
Fig. 55. Repeat the same with other reflections. Take care not to pull too far down. Keep the size of
the reflection relative to the size of the tree.
