To begin painting the sky start at the top left (or right) corner of the
canvas and work your way across and down the canvas using long
criss-cross 'x' strokes described earlier. Fig. 8
You may need to reload the brush a few times for the upper portion
of the sky as you'll want that part of the sky (the Zenith) to appear
a little darker to gain a little perspective. Fig. 9
As you work your way down the canvas apply
less and less pressure from the brush so that the
sky appears lighter and lighter as you approach
the horizon. Try to place the horizon a little
before or a little after the center of your canvas.

Step 3: Paint the water
Load a small amount of blue onto the brush by tapping the brush into the paint and then pulling
the paint forward a couple of times. Fig. 11, 12
With the brush loaded this way, proceed to turn the canvas upside down. (water at the top, sky at the bottom).
